DIY Headbands from fabric scraps

A couple of weeks ago my cousin Erin came up with a great idea to help me use up some of my fabric scraps!! She said I should make some headbands. I agreed that it was a good idea and started to hunt the internet for a tutorial... I came across one on YOUTUBE.com from
I started by sewing a bunch of tubes then took a safety pin and turned them inside out.

So here are all the tubes I have made so far.
I ironed them out to make them easier to work with.

Then I started putting them together. I made a little loop and threaded them through and sewed them down so the would stay together.

After that I attached some fabric covered elastic. Which I am sorry I didn't take pictures of I promise on the next one I will get a picture. But I was in a hurry and didn't stop to take more pictures.

Here are the two that I have completed so far. If you have any questions just leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can... Thanks

Sheet to Dress for my little one

I really wanted to sew a dress for my toddler but I didn't want to go out and buy a bunch of materials. So I took an old black tee shirt and a cream colored jersey sheet and cut them up. I used one of my daughter's dresses to trace an outline of the dress I wanted to create. I cut up the sheet and tee shirt and made sure I had plenty extra in case I messed up.

I took the tee shirt and ironed creases in it and made a make shift binding. I pinned it to the top, bottom and arm holes. I sewed it on with black thread on my sewing machine.

This is what each side looked liked before I sewed them together.

And this is what it looked like when I finished. She was really happy that I had made her something.
