I found a bunch of tutorials online for Lego bags... My nephew asked me for one and I ended up trying to do two but was unsuccessful with the second one...
I read one tutorial and ended up not buying enough fabric to make it large enough for the two I wanted to buy and I had already cut the fabric without thinking...
So I ran back to the store later on after putting a basic small one together...
But I only halfway finished the second one (it sits in my craft room) sigh!
When I went back to the craft store I bought enough fabric to make one for my nephew and one for a friends grandson.
I cut both of them and completed the one I was suppose to give to my nephew...
This was a year and a half ago...
I got alot of the second one done!
I got to about this point below us when I started having major trouble getting my sewing machine to keep working...
So I got another vintage sewing machine!
Unfortunately it started to smell after using it for the third time. I got the thing from a newspaper ad and I don't really know it's history...
It's in need of a little work at the moment and has needed it since about a week after I got it.
Getting another sewing machine that needed work was a bit frustrating!
But I love sewing by hand.
With the help of my sister we cut these out!! I have been working on getting all nine of them sewn onto each of the bags. Of course these were on the completed bag.
All the Lego pieces are done being cut out!
I'll need a little bit more time to finish sewing them together! (good rainy day project!)
This is a pic of the bag before sewing on the Lego pieces.
This one below is the one that ended up too small and the one above it the one I gave my nephew!
I have had a lot fun trying to put these together and A LOT of frustration not being able to complete the project maybe I'll be able to finish the second one and get some better pictures up on this blog sometime soon!
